Have you ever had ribollita? If you haven’t – you must come back to Florence to try it! There are many traditional Italian dishes that must be experienced when you visit Tuscany, and this is absolutely one of them.
Ribollita is a famous Tuscan soup made out of bread and vegetables. There are many variations to the recipe throughout Florence, but the main ingredients literally are – bread, beans, and vegetables (particularly kale). It just so happens that we have been recognised by Touring Club Italia for our ribollita!
L’Osteria Di Giovanni’s very own ribollita, has been recognised for it’s tradition, excellence and great taste by the Touring Club Italia, in association with the Vetrina Toscana and the Tuscan regional Council (aren’t we just so very proud!)
On Saturday, November 16th, at 12 midday, an award was presented at L’Osteria Di Giovanni in recognition of the dish’s excellence.
We will be having a Ribollita Reloaded Day – with a special menu only for this Saturday (including the evening service).
The menu will include – Tuscan starters (cold cuts), ribollita (the main star), dessert and house red wine – the price for the entire meal is €25/person.
If you are in Florence and want to try some of the very best ribollita that Tuscany has to offer – stop in at L’Osteria Di Giovanni and join in the celebration. If you’re not going to be here, we can only hope that you will try this delicious soup the next time you are in the area. Hope to see you all on Saturday!
